1.       By playing

        a.      By using an object ball as the cue ball during a frame

        b.      By playing at red balls, or a free ball followed by a red ball in successive strokes

2.       By your actions

        a.      By using any object to measure distances or gaps

        b.      By using a ball off the table for any purpose
       
        c.      By touching any ball during consultation

3.       By Referee call

        a.      Failing to declare a nominated ball when snookered.

        b.      Failing to declare a nominated ball after a request to do so by the Referee

        c.      By fouling after potting a red or free ball as red before nominating a colour
